Tricon Films & Television has sold Rhombus Media’s Sensitive Skin into Latin America.
The Toronto and L.A.-based distributor sold both seasons (12 x 30 minutes) of the Toronto-set comedy to satellite TV provider DirecTV Latin America.
Sensitive Skin stars Kim Cattrall and Don McKellar as a long-married couple trying to revamp their lives.
Season two of the McKellar-directed dramedy premiered on HBO Canada on May 15, after which the entire season was made available to all HBO Canada subscribers on all of its platforms.
The series is produced by Rhombus Media in association with Baby Cow Productions and The Movie Network, with the participation of Rogers Cable Network Fund and the Canada Media Fund. Tricon distributes the series internationally and serves as executive producer.
Niv Fichman and Sari Friedland serve as producers, with Kim Cattrall, Don McKellar, Bob Martin, Andrea Gorfolova, Henry Normal and Hugo Blick executive producing. The series was created by Blick, and Martin serves as head writer.
Season one of Sensitive Skin premiered in the U.S. last November via iTunes and was also sold to Tele München Group Germany, Sky Arts UK, and Hot Telecommunication Systems Israel.
