Toronto-based indie distributor Unobstructed View (formerly known as Video Services Corp.) has partnered with U.K. distributor Arrow Films to release its slate on DVD and Blu-ray in Canada.
The exclusive Canadian deal with Arrow Films, which is known for its classic, horror and cult film offerings, includes releases like American Horror Project, The Mutilator and The Beast. Upcoming 2016 releases include such colourful titles as The Swinging Cheerleaders, The Bloodstained Butterfly and Microwave Massacre.
“Since our launch in the U.S. 15 months ago, we have had a sensational response to our product as well as to our brand Arrow Video – which I am confident we can replicate in Canada,” said Arrow Films CEO Alex Agran in a statement.
“Arrow Films’ product fits perfectly into our catalogue and we continue to believe in home entertainment as a viable platform for film,” said Unobstructed View head Jonathan Gross.
The deal was negotiated by both Agran and Gross. Unobstructed View will begin releasing Arrow Films’ collection on July 19.
