aaron gilbertVancouver-based Bron Studios has unveiled its latest project, horror-comedy feature The Wildness.

The werewolf film – set to go to camera in Vancouver in January 2017 – will be produced through Bron’s horror-centric sub-label, The Realm.

The Wildness is the first film to go to camera under the label, which Bron launched in July 2015, with Garrick Dion appointed to head up The Realm.

The film is the story of a nearly 40-year-old ski bum who hasn’t been able to let go of the vices of his youth. However, when the children of the mountain community where he lives start turning into werewolves, he is forced to play the hero. Casting for the project is currently underway.

Marcel Sarmiento (Deadgirl, ABCs of Death) is set to direct the feature, with Aaron L. Gilbert (pictured) and Dion executive producing. No distributor is yet attached to the project. Sarmiento is represented by Chris Ridenhour at literary agency APA.
