The 2015 Doc Institute Honours awards ceremony took place Dec. 10 at Toronto’s Gladstone Hotel, with POV magazine editor Marc Glassman and emerging doc-maker Chelsea McMullan picking up awards. Glassman – an arts journalist, editor, film programmer and the Documentary Program professor at Ryerson University – won the Rogers-DOC Luminary Award in recognition of his outstanding support and mentorship within the Canadian doc-making field, while McMullan, director of features My Prairie Home and Shannon Michael Shannon John, was honoured with the DOC Vanguard Award.
