Montreal-based distributor Remstar Films has announced three executive-level promotions.
Pascale Hebert has been named EVP for Remstar Films, with Tim Ringuette upped to VP acquisitions, distribution and production for Remstar Films, and Martine Robillard promoted to director of finances.
Hebert has been with the company for five years in the role of VP and general manager. Prior to that, she was the VP of distribution at Alliance Vivafilm. Ringuette previously served as the director of acquisitions and distribution for Remstar. Robillard was promoted from the position of financial controller, which she held for four years.
Films recently acquired by Remstar for the Canadian market include Elvis & Nixon and the Jacques Cousteau biopic The Odyssey. The distributor also holds the rights to films such as Dallas Buyers Club from director Jean-Marc Vallee, Joseph Gordon-Levitt’s Don Jon’s Addiction and Atom Egoyan’s Devil’s Knot. In 2014, the company signed a services agreeement with Elevation Pictures to distribute Elevation’s titles in Quebec, a deal which recently saw the two companies co-acquire the Canadian rights to John Lee-Hancock’s The Founder.
