Entertainment One has acquired the Canadian rights to writer/director Tyson Caron’ Lovesick, which is set to start production in Winnipeg on Sept. 8.

Lovesick stars Jessica Pare and Jacob Tierney, with Jay Baruchel set to make a special appearance. The film tells the story of a thirty-something man named Dash (Tierney), a depressed mural artist who embarks on a journey of self-discovery after his ex-girlfriend Lauren (Pare) becomes engaged to a near stranger.

Kyle Irving of Eagle Vision serves as producer on Lovesick, with Lisa Meeches of Eagle Vision and Tierney executive producing. The film is produced with the participation of Telefilm Canada and Manitoba Film and Music.
