Last weekend, Shaftesbury attracted its biggest crowd ever for a Murdoch Mysteries fan event, with over 2,500 people buying tickets to explore the Murdoch studio on Aug. 8 and Aug. 9. Tickets for the event sold out in less than 15 minutes, prompting Shaftesbury to expand the festivities from one day to two. Along with a chance to see the Murdoch set in person, the event included meet-and-greet photo opportunities with cast, prop and wardrobe displays and a preview of the ninth season of the series, which is set to bow on CBC on Oct. 5.
