Voyeurism charges against Spun Out star dropped

JP Manoux still faces two charges of mischief.

Two voyeurism charges laid against Spun Out cast member JP Manoux were dropped on Thursday.

The voyeurism charges were withdrawn by the Crown “due there being no reasonable prospect of conviction,” a spokesperson for the Ontario Ministry of the Attorney General told Playback Daily. Manoux, however, still faces two charges of mischief. A trial date for the mischief charges has been set for March 29 and March 30, 2016 in Toronto.

Bell Media announced earlier this month that Spun Out would return to TV about six months after a preview episode of season two was initially scheduled to air in a post-Super Bowl slot on CTV. The broadcaster yanked Spun Out from the airwaves in January after Manoux was arrested by Toronto police and charged with voyeurism.

The second-season premiere of the series, which bowed on July 14, pulled in an average overnight audience of 401,000, according to Numeris data provided by Bell Media.
