Syfy picks up season three of Bitten

Bell Media's Space announced a third season of the supernatural thriller series in May.

U.S. net Syfy has picked up the third season of Bitten, which airs on Space in Canada.

Bell Media announced it greenlit 10 one-hour episodes for a third season of the supernatural thriller series in late May.

Production will start in Toronto this summer on season three. The series was the first Space show to be given a dedicated aftershow, Innerspace: After Bite. The second season of Bitten aired on Space this winter, and will appear on CTV this summer starting July 4.

Bitten, which stars Laura Vandervoort, is based on a series of Kelley Armstrong novels. It is produced by No Equal Entertainment, Entertainment One, and Hoodwink Entertainment.

The series is executive produced by J.B. Sugar, John Barbisan, Patrick Banister, Tevva Crosby, John Morayniss and Margaret O’Brien. Daegan Fryklind serves as showrunner, and will write for season three along with Will Zmak. Both are also executive producers on Bitten. Other writers attached to season three are Larry Bambrick, Jenn Engels and Garfield Lindsay Miller.
