Keshet Int’l launches drama funding initiative

Coproductions are eligible for the program as long as one European producer is involved in the project.

Keshet International, the global production and distribution arm of Israel-based Keshet Media Group, has launched an European drama initiative open to coproductions.

Through the program, Keshet International is aiming to fund three to four new drama productions every year. Coproductions are eligible for the program provided at least one of the producing partners is European. The program is targeting coproducing and co-developing high-quality drama for the international market, while building relationships with European producers.

The drama initiative will be managed by Sara Johnson, Keshet International’s scripted executive producer and head of coproductions, and Sebastian Burkhardt, Keshet International’s head of business development and acquisitions. Recent European-focused deals Keshet has inked include a codevelopment deal between Keshet UK and Atlantique Producers for the drama project Carter Lake (8 x 52 minutes).
