Global TV medical drama Remedy has been cancelled by Shaw Media after a two-season run.
A spokesperson for Shaw Media confirmed to Playback Daily that the show has not been commissioned for another season.
“Global has aired two terrific seasons of Remedy and we are proud of this original series. We are grateful to our production partners and the outstanding cast for all their hard work, creativity and dedication to this show,” the spokesperson said.
After debuting in February 2014, the original series drew an average 1 million viewers per episode in its first season.
The show follows the lives of a family of doctors working in a downtown hospital, starring Enrico Colantoni, Dillon Casey, Sara Canning and Genelle Williams.
Created by Greg Spottiswood and produced by Toronto-based Indian Grove Productions, the show aired on Monday nights at 9 p.m.
