Montreal-based Rezolution Pictures is developing the dramatic series Dirty Red Boys for APTN.
The series was created by Rhymes for Young Ghouls director Jeff Barnaby and writer/producer Sam Egan, whose previous credits include V, Sanctuary, Northern Exposure, The Listener, Jeremiah and Masters of Science Fiction.
APTN has commissioned eight, one-hour scripts of Dirty Red Boys. The series aims to reimagine the traditional family crime drama by showcasing elements of Native values and codes.
Dirty Red Boys is based on an original concept from Rezolution Pictures executive producer Catherine Bainbridge. The series is developed and produced by Christina Fon, Linda Ludwick and Bainbridge, who also all serve as executive producers. Ernest Webb also serves as executive producer on the series, with co-executive producer John Hamilton.
The development of Dirty Red Boys is backed by the Bell Media CTV-CHUM tangible benefits program.
