Harold van Lier has exited Entertainment One (eOne) following the company’s consolidation of its international sales and film production arms.

Following van Lier’s departure, eOne’s international sales will be directed by Charlotte van Weede, SVP of international sales for eOne Films International, and Anick Poirer, VP international sales for Seville International. Both will report to Xavier Marchand, eOne’s president of film production. eOne officially launched its global film production arm in April 2014, with Marchand at the helm.

The consoldiation between the production and international sales arms of the company is part of an increased focus eOne is placing on internally produced films.

“As our focus on eOne financed and produced films continues to develop, our global sales efforts and production strategy need to be fully aligned. In bringing the international sales teams together with the film production business, we will be best positioned to offer our distribution partners a portfolio of high-quality films that are guided by eOne’s international market expertise,” said Steve Bertram, president, global film group, Entertainment One, in a statement.

eOne hired former Studio Canal exec van Lier a little over a year ago to lead the international film division. Prior to that he was with Summit Entertainment.
