Molly Parker has joined the movie shoot for The 9th Life of Louis Drax, which has started the cameras rolling in Vancouver.

The Canada-U.K. coproduction from producers AntColony Films and Brightlight Pictures for Miramax has also added Oliver Platt, Barbara Hershey and Aiden Longworth in the titular role of Louis Drax.

The supernatural thriller is top-lined by the previously announced Jamie Dornan and Aaron Paul, and has Parker coming on board in the supporting role of detective Dalton.

The 9^th Life of Louis Drax is directed by Alexandre Aja and is based on a screenplay by Max Minghella.

The film begins on Louis Drax’s 9^th birthday when he survives a near fatal fall that unleashes mysterious forces at work.

The producers are Tim Bricknell, Minghella, Shawn Williamson and and Aja.

Rosanne Korenberg is executive producer.

Entertainment One will release The 9th Life of Louis Drax in Canada and Miramax will distribute throughout the rest of the world. Sierra/Affinity is the international sales agent for the film.
