Entertainment One is co-developing the book-to-TV drama Caught for the CBC with Allan Hawco’s Take the Shot Productions.
The pact is part of a two-year first-look deal between eOne and Hawco’s production shingle.
As part of the agreement, eOne will co-produce the Take the Shot series with international broadcast partners, and handle worldwide distribution.
Caught, based on Newfoundland writer Lisa Moore’s novel, portrays a young man looking to outrun his criminal past on a cross-country trip to reconnect with his former partner-in-crime and pull one last score that will set him up for life.
St. John’s, Newfoundland-based Take the Shot is best known for its Republic of Doyle drama that will end after its sixth season airs on the CBC this fall.
