CBC’s talent drain continues, as on-air personality Kevin O’Leary has announced his move from the pubcaster to a wider-ranging role at Bell Media.

O’Leary has been a fixture on CBC for many years, as the co-host of The Lang & O’Leary Exchange and former “Dragon” on Dragons’ Den. He also appears on ABC in the U.S. on the entrepreneur-focused Shark Tank.

At Bell Media, O’Leary has been hired as a roving on-air personality, contributing as a business and financial commentator across channels such as BNN and on Bell Media shows such as Canada AM, eTalk, The Marilyn Denis Show and The Social starting Sept. 1st.

O’Leary will also appear on season six of ABC’s Shark Tank on CTV Two on Sept. 26.

The CBC also saw prominent on-air personality George Stroumboulopoulos leave the net earlier this year for Rogers Media, where he will host Hockey Night in Canada among other on-air duties.
