Breakthrough Entertainment and Chad Archibald’s Black Fawn Films worked together on the release of the genre pics Antisocial and their newest production, The Drownsman.
Now Breakthrough has signed an eight-picture deal with the horror master.
The two-year deal will see Archibald direct two of the films, while director-writer-producer Cody Calahan, who directed Antisocial, will helm another two films in the production deal.
Calahan and Christopher Giroux will produce the slate, with Breakthrough’s Nat Abraham, Ira Levy, Michael McGuigan and Peter Williamson executive producing all eight feature films.
Breakthrough will also distribute the pictures worldwide, which are expected to widely use Canadian writers and directors as creative talent.
Black Fawn Films, launched in 2008, has 17 features in its credits, including Neverlost, while also doing a raft of music videos.
