Bell Media, France’s TF1 and Prosiebensat.1 in Germany have boarded as development partners the crime drama Sex, Lies and Handwriting.

The series, to shoot on location in Vancouver, is part of a co-venture between Lionsgate and Sea to Sky Entertainment and German partner Tandem Communications.

The series, in the early stages of development,  follows the exploits of a quirky and complex artist and forensic handwriting expert.

Sea to Sky is developing and producing the series and Tandem and Lionsgate are co-financing and handling distribution worldwide outside of Canada.

Rola Bauer is executive producing the series along with Jeff Sagansky, Sunta Izzicupo, Chris Barrett, Ivan Fecan and Brett Burlock, with Nancy Miller on board as showrunner.
