The National Screen Institute (NSI) and Super Channel have announced a new three-year partnership that will see the pay channel support a wide range of NSI programs.
As an NSI Corporate Sponsor, Super Channel will commit $60,000 over the three-year partnership to support a number of the organization’s programs, including the NSI Features First, NSI Drama Prize, NSI Totally Television, NSI Online, the NSI Short Film Festival, NSI New Voices and the NSI Aboriginal Documentary training course.
The funding from Super Channel will go towards the training of the students participating in the NSI programs, Chris Vajcner, NSI’s director of communications and revenue development, told Playback Daily.
The partnership also means Super Channel will appear in the credits of the films or projects that come through the NSI programs, Vajcner noted, a boon to both the project and to the channel’s positioning as a supporter of up-and-coming talent.
