Five emerging screenwriters are going to rub shoulders with top Hollywood scribes at the upcoming Toronto Screenwriting Conference, thanks to the Telefilm Canada New Voices Award program.
The five — Katherine Di Marino, Elene Mekete, Lea Nakonechny, Ashley Park and Jon Wayne Brown — emerged from in total 47 applicants looking to attend the Toronto Screenwriting Conference in Toronto on April 5 and 6.
Besides mixing with Toy Story 3‘s Michael Arndt, The Good Wife‘s Leonard Dick and David Webb Peoples of Twelve Monkeys, Unforgiven and Blade Runner, the five will also lunch with representatives from Telefilm Canada, and TSC founder Glenn Cockburn.
The Telefilm Canada New Voices Award recognizes promising writers and aims to help them gain industry experience and to build careers.
