CTV has given ICF Films and Entertainment another 18-episode order for Saving Hope.
The medical drama, which averaged 1.3 million weekly viewers for the network during its second season in the summer, is set to start production on a third season in spring 2014.
The season renewal brings Saving Hope to 49 episodes. “The viewer response to the summer season left little doubt that we needed to sign up for more,” said Phil King, president, CTV programming and sports, in a statement Thursday.
Saving Hope stars Erica Durance, Michael Shanks and Daniel Gillies.
The series is executive produced by Ilana Frank and David Wellington for ICF Films, John Morayniss for eOne, which handles all distribution rights, and Lesley Harrison.
Morwyn Brebner and Adam Pettle are executive producers and showrunners.
The series was created by Malcolm MacRury and Morwyn Brebner.
