Former Canadian Power Rangers actor makes feature debut

Matt Sadowski, a former Power Rangers actor-turned-writer/director, is making his debut feature Pretend We’re Kissing in Toronto.

The romantic comedy, written and directed by Sadowski, who played the green S.P.D. Power Ranger on Disney’s Power Rangers series, stars Dov Tiefenbach, Tommie-Amber Pirie and Zoë Kravitz.

The 15-day shoot in and around Toronto, follows Benny and Jordan, two average people who have a whirlwind weekend romance.

Sadowski is shooting Pretend We’re Kissing with $120,000 in financing from Telefilm Canada’s microbudget program. The program targets projects that have budgets of less than $250,000, with Telefilm’s contribution put towards producing, distribution and promoting the project.

The film is produced by Sadowski and Peter Harvey (Picture Day), and executive produced by Mark Montefiore (Cas & Dylan).
