Hannibal actor Kacey Rohl has joined Global’s upcoming half-hour comedy series Working the Engels.

Commissioned by Shaw Media, the 12-ep series is produced by Halfire-CORE Entertainment and written by Katie Ford (Miss Congeniality) and Jane Ford (Listen Missy).

Rohl joins previously announced actor Andrea Martin in the series about a young lawyer (Rohl) who quits her job at a huge law firm to take over her father’s small law practice after he dies unexpectedly. She becomes the family’s unlikely patriarch as she deals with her self-involved mother (Martin) and eccentric relatives as co-workers.

In addition to Hannibal, Canuck actor Rohl has also starred in The Killing and Red Riding Hood.

Working the Engels, which begins production this fall in Toronto, is exec produced by Katie Ford, Jane Ford, Howard Busgang, Tom Nursall and Noreen Halpern.
