Production starts on 19-2, Bravo’s Quebec cop drama adaptation

Benz Antoine is to reprise his original 19-2 Quebec series role as officer Tyler Joseph in the English adaptation for Bravo to bow in 2014.

19-2, coproduced by Montréal’s Sphere Media Plus and Echo Media, also stars Maxim Roy, Isabelle Latendresse and Laurence Leboeuf.

The latest casting news came as Bell Media’s 19-2 cop drama for Bravo starts production in Montreal.

The ensemble cast for the English-language adaptation includes Dan Petronijevic, Mylène Dinh-Robic, Conrad Pla and Bruce Robert Ramsay as a manipulative district commander.

The producers earlier cast Adrian Holmes as Nick Barron and Jared Keeso as Ben Chartier, the two main lead characters in 19-2 and veterans of the Montreal police force.

Louis Choquette and Érik Canuel are set to direct episodes of 19-2.

Executive producers are Jocelyn Deschênes and Carolyn Newman from Sphère Média Plus and Luc Châtelain from Echo Media.
