Naveen Prasad leaving eOne amid Canadian film division shakeup

Former Alliance Films executive Naveen Prasad is leaving a post-merger Entertainment One as Audrey Gardiner and Dan Loewy are promoted to lead the Canadian film division’s broadcast licensing and digital transaction businesses.

Prasad, SVP of TV and online at eOne Films Canada, is departing amid a reorganization of the Canadian film group’s broadcast and digital division.

Gardiner (pictured below, left) and Loewy (below, right) will jointly oversee the eOne Films Canada division as VPs.

Gardiner will oversee licensing for both linear and digital accounts, while Loewy will handle transactional business for both linear cable and digital accounts.

gardinerloewy-eone-1They take over from Prasad, who oversaw the Canadian film group’s TV and digital activities before his departure.

Prasad filled the same role at Alliance Films before its January 2013 acquisition.

“Naveen has contributed significantly to our organization’s remarkable evolution and meaningful achievements in the broadcast and digital space. We thank him for his dedication and wish him the very best in all his future endeavors,” said Bryan Gliserman, co-president of eOne Films Canada in a statement Wednesday.
