HBO’s Cinemax parting ways with Transporter: The Series

HBO’s Cinemax is not moving forward with the Transporter TV series that stars Chris Vance, now in development for a second season.

“We have elected not to proceed with our involvement with that project,” HBO programming president Michael Lombardo said last week during the network’s executive session at the TCA summer press tour.

The Canadian-French co-produced TV drama is based on the Luc Besson movie franchise and also has Germany’s RTL, France’s M6 and Canada’s TMN and Movie Central as anchor broadcasters.

Transporter: The Series stars Vance as Frank Martin, an ex-soldier an expert-driver for hire.

The action drama is produced by Atlantique Productions and Canada’s QVF Inc.
