Ole buys part of Sony Pictures’ film, TV music catalogue

Toronto-based rights management company ole has acquired part of the film and TV music catalogue of Sony Pictures Entertainment.

The deal, first disclosed Tuesday, covers the rights of songs produced between 1993 and 2012.

The catalogue includes compositions from TV shows such as Wheel of Fortune, Breaking Bad, Dawson’s Creek, The Nanny and Rescue Me and films such as The Da Vinci Code, Groundhog Day, Rudy, Legends of the Fall, Superbad, and Hotel Transylvania.
