Second season shoot for Cracked gets new showrunner

Cracked, the White Pines Pictures’ police procedural for the CBC, has started second season production with a new showrunner, Bruce Smith (Durham County).

The sophomore season will also feature new actor Brooke Nevin as Dr. Clara Malone, and replacing Stefanie von Pfetten as a partner in the Psych Crimes and Crisis Unit to David Sutcliffe’s veteran police sergeant lead.

Shooting will take place in Toronto through September 2013, ahead of a fall 2013 debut on the CBC.

The returning cast for Cracked includes Luisa D’Oliveira, Dayo Ade and Karen LeBlanc.

The series, from White Pine Pictures, is executive produced by Peter Raymont, David Barlow, and Smith. Calum de Hartog will produce.
