Indie distributor Indiecan Entertainment has picked up the Canadian rights to Katrin Bowen’s sex comedy Random Acts of Romance.

The relationship comedy stars Amanda Tapping, Zak Santiago, Ted Whittall, Laura Bertram, Robert Moloney, Katharine Isabelle and Sonja Bennett.

Indiecan’s Avi Federgreen, who executive produced the film, will now release Random Acts of Romance across Canada.

Federgreen also released Bowen’s earlier work Amazon Falls.

Random Acts of Romance was produced by Bowen and Darren Reiter, with a screenplay written by Bowen, Kevin McComiskie and Jillian Mannion.

The film received funding from Telefilm Canada and the Super Channel Network.

Additional financing came from Film Incentive B.C., Rogers Telefund and tax credits.
