Muse Entertainment reports that production is underway in North Bay, Ont. on its television movie Star Spangled Banners (entitled Banner 4th of July for the U.S. market).
It stars Christian Campbell (Big Love), Brooke White (American Idol; pictured), Michael Barbuto (An Old Fashioned Thanksgiving) and Mercedes Ruehl (The Fisher King).
The production is working toward a premiere on Hallmark Channel on June 29 2013. It will also be carried domestically on Bravo, Muse said on Monday.
The TV movie is executive produced by Michael Vickerman (Impact), Jonas Prupas (Home Again), Greg Gugliotta (Impact), Michael Prupas (The Kennedys), Joel S. Rice (Cyberbully) and David Anselmo (Be My Valentine).
Steve Solomos (John A: Birth of a Country) is producer, with Don McBrearty (Bomb Girls) directing from a script written by Michael Vickerman.
In the film, a record company owner who has struggled to find happiness since leaving the famous band she once headlined with her brothers returns to help her near-bankrupt hometown after her mother, who is also the mayor, suffers a heart attack.
