The Discovery Kids Latin America preschool network has picked up the second season of Guru Studio’s Justin Time.
The deal was brokered by Imira Entertainment, Guru’s agent for Latin America and Spain.
“With its focus on discovery, imagination and exploration around the world, Justin Time has been an absolutely perfect fit for Discovery Kids. We are sure season two will continue to captivate and inspire our audience’s curiosity,” said Discovery Kids Latin America director of programming and acquisitions Flavio Medeiros in a statement.
“We are very pleased that Discovery Kids has picked up more episodes of Justin Time as it is indeed the perfect home for three characters who travel the globe discovering new adventures. We are also very excited about having such far-reaching, multi-platform exposure to the hugely important Hispanic market,” said Guru Studio president and creative director Frank Falcone in his own statement.
The second season of Justin Time will begin airing on the network later this year. Season one of the animated series for three-to-six year-olds launched on Discovery Kids Latin America in April 2012. Discovery Familia has U.S. Spanish-speaking broadcast rights to the series.
Justin Time, based on an original concept by Brandon Scott, follows a young boy and his imaginary friends in a series of fantastical adventures, including riding rockets, travelling through Egypt and discovering new worlds with Vikings.
The series airs in more than 70 countries on broadcasters including Disney Junior in Canada, Sprout and NBC Kids in the U.S. and Tiny Pop in the U.K.
