Vic Sarin’s Desert Riders to compete in Buenos Aires

Vic Sarin’s Desert Riders will screen in competition at the International Film Festival of Cinema Politico in Buenos Aires next week.

The documentary, which looks at the dark side of camel racing, is one of three Filmblanc titles to screen at the Argentinian festival during its Mar. 22 to Mar. 25 run.

Producer Noemi Weis is also bringing two other titles, including Teaching the Life of Music, by David New, which will screen as part of the  arts and politics sidebar.

Also booked into competition in Buenos Aires is the short film Abuelas – Grandmother on a Mission, by Weis.

Desert Riders was nominated by the Canadian Society of Cinematography in the best cinematography category.
