Cineflix Rights to shop JFK assassination TV special at MIPTV

Cineflix Rights has added the ITV special The Day Kennedy Died to its MIPTV slate to mark the 50th anniversary of John F. Kennedy’s assassination in November 2013.

As part of a 200 hour lineup of programming to be shopped in Cannes, the one hour special from Scottish producer Finestripe Productions for ITV1 U.K. and Smithsonian Channel in the U.S. includes witnesses of the assassination.

Cineflix Rights will also shop the second season of the Copper scripted drama, now shooting in Toronto, and Murder in Paradise, a docu-drama series about dream getaways upended by murder.

Previously announced Cineflix Productions projects bound for MIPTV include Trauma Investigators, Loaded, about truckers battling tight deadlines, and Little Couple, about a newlywed couple, both of whom are under four feet tall.
