Bell Media moved its last production staff at MTV Canada from the Masonic Temple to its downtown Toronto headquarters in November 2012.
Now the historic concert hall on Toronto’s Yonge Street acquired in 1998 is on the sales block, Bell Media spokesman Scott Henderson told Playback on Friday.
The broadcaster built a new HD studio for MTV Canada at the Queen and John Street studio complex and the new show Showtown debuted in February.
The heritage building, turned from a Masonic meeting hall into a music venue for big-name acts before bought by Bell Media, has limited development possibilities for developers, and no listing price.
