Syfy’s Being Human sci-fi series is adapted from the original BBC Three series.
So it’s little surprise that British broadcaster UKTV has inked a deal with Zodiak Rights to bring the North American adaptation, which also airs on Space in Canada, to its Watch Channel.
“The U.S. version of Being Human provides compelling viewing by offering a dark take on an ordinary flat share situation. It is a perfect fit for Watch which puts a new twist on established genres and I am delighted it will premiere on the channel, giving our viewers access to more premium content ahead of other UK broadcasters,” Steve Hornsey, general manager for Watch, said in a statement Thursday.
Being Human portrays a trio – vampire, a ghost and a werewolf — trying to live normal lives as human beings in Boston. The drama is produced by Muse Entertainment, in association with Zodiak USA.
