Mychael Danna wins Golden Globe for Life of Pi score

Canadian composer Mychael Danna on Sunday night won a Golden Globe trophy for best original score for his work in Ang Lee’s Life of Pi.

The film is based on the novel by fellow Canadian Yann Martel.

Danna, who is also the composer chair of the CFC’s Slaight Family Music Lab, is nominated for best musical score for Life of Pi in the upcoming Academy Awards, to be broadcast Feb. 24 on CTV and in 225 territories worldwide.
