Jenn Kuzmyk to leave Cream Productions

Cream Productions’ factual VP of development Jenn Kuzmyk (pictured) is leaving the Canadian indie at the end of the year, to pursue other opportunities.

Kuzmyk, who joined the Toronto-based indie in 2008, departs after four years working on development projects for the firm. She told Playback sister publication realscreen she will remain with the company until Dec. 31 and will continue to consult on select projects going forward.

While at Cream, Kuzmyk worked on a number of different TV series as creator, developer and/or co-executive producer, including Wild Things with Dominic Monaghan (for OLN, BBC America, Channel 5), Canada’s Greatest Know-It-All (Discovery Canada), Treasure Trader (History Television Canada), Breathing Fire: Battle of the Somme (History Television, Channel 4) and Sibling Rivalry (W Network Canada).

Prior to joining Cream, she worked as a trade journalist, writing about the international TV industry for titles including realscreen and C21 Media.

Cream is expected to announce Kuzmyk’s replacement in due course.

UPDATE 11.30 a.m. EST: Cream Productions co-founder David Brady says: “We at Cream have really enjoyed working with Jenn over the past years. She has been loyal and hard-working, and has a great sense of this crazy TV business. She’s also one of the best writers and editors of writers I’ve ever met. Both Christopher [Rowley, Cream co-founder] and I will miss her here, but wish her luck in her coming endeavors.”
