The Canadian concert film Burlesque: Raunch and Roll, from directors Jason and Brett Butler and producer Jonathan Hlibka, is set to start shooting in December.

The film will feature performers and personalities behind the Canadian burlesque scene, including Tanya Cheex, St. Stella, Mina Von Fleisch and Dolly Berlin.

“Toronto is considered to have the number one burlesque scene in the world. With Burlesque: Raunch and Roll, we intend to immortalize this cultural phenomena and define what it is” Hlibka of HStudios, said of the project.

The film marks the first of three films slated between Hlibka’s new production company, HStudio, and the Butler’s SubProd production company.

The production has an Indigogo campaign to drum up financing and an audience for Burlesque: Raunch and Roll, which will start shooting on Dec. 31, 2012 and run to June 2013.
