Toronto-based Other Animal Entertainment’s upcoming slasher Kill or Be Killed is launching international sales ahead of the European Film Market (EFM).

Both Other Animal and the film’s sales agent, U.K-based Architect, will be attending the sales market in Berlin. EFM runs from Feb. 13 to 19.

Kill or Be Killed is produced by Other Animal’s Ryan Keller, directed by veteran Canadian television director David Straiton (Hemlock Grove) and written by Nick Ziegler (Chucky). Executive producers include Other Animal’s Jonathan Hlibka, Straiton and John Long for Cousin Jones, the production division of the L.A.-based advertising and marketing company Buddha Jones.

The film stars the Scream franchise’s David Arquette (pictured left) alongside Heartland‘s Alisha Newton (pictured right). It follows a recent high school graduate who, along with her friends, is thrust into a killer’s sadistic game.

Production is set for this summer in North Bay, Ont, Hlibka told Playback Daily. This will mark Other Animal’s third major production in North Bay following Happy FKN Sunshine and Nobel and the Kid. Kill or Be Killed is supported by the Northern Ontario Heritage Fund Corporation.

“It’s the perfect time to redefine the genre and challenge audiences with something both thrilling and unexpected,” said Straiton in a statement.
