Henderson, di Prata join ACCT board

Bell Media’s Scott Henderson and private investor Cam di Prata have been appointed to the Academy of Canadian Cinema and Television’s Board of Directors, it was announced Thursday morning by ACCT chair Martin Katz.

“Scott’s dynamic and creative approach to original publicity campaigns have resulted in the successful launch of multiple ratings’ winners in Canadian television series, specials and award shows. [Di Prata’s] acumen in the mergers and acquisitions world boosts our fundraising capacity on the board and is a real vote of confidence from the private sector in all our efforts in bolstering our operations,” said Katz in a statement.

Henderson has worked as VP communications at Bell Media since 2007, where he leads strategic and day-to-day operations of Bell Media’s program publicity, corporate communications, public affairs and special events.

That includes communications efforts for CTV and CTTV Two and the company’s stable of channels, radio stations and digital properties.

Toronto-based di Prata is a private investor and former financial services industry executive. Until 2012, he managed the National Bank of Canada’s corporate lending, equity capital markets and mergers and acquisitions advisory activities. He joined the Bank in 2003 as vice chair, Quebec, for the investment banking division, before being promoted in 2006 to executive VP and head of corporate and investment banking.

Henderson and di Prata’s appointments are effective immediately.
