Google to receive innovation tribute at Banff festival

Google will be receiving the second annual Award of Excellence in Innovation at the 2012 Banff World Media Festival in June.

The company’s chief business officer Nikesh Arora will be on hand to accept the award and give a feature interview at the Canadian Rocky Mountains conference.

Arora, who joined Google in 2004, is expected to discuss the strategy behind the U.S. search engine’s growth and corporate vision.

Banff last year kicked off the Award of Excellence in Innovation by giving the honor to Netflix, with chief content officer Ted Sarandos at the festival to receive the tribute.

The Banff World Media Festival will take place June 10 to 13, 2012.
