Toronto-based Radical Sheep Productions has teamed up with Teletoon Canada in a development deal for animated comedy The Bagel and Becky Show.

The 11-minute comedy, based on the book Bagel’s Lucky Hat by fine artist Dave Cooper, will target kids ages 8 to 11, and follow the adventures of a brother and sister duo (who are a dog and a cat).

Radical Sheep producer Michelle Melanson and Cooper will develop the show in association with Ottawa-based Jam Filled Entertainment (Camp Lakebottom). Ken Cuperus (Mr. Young, My Babysitter’s a Vampire), Adam Rotstein and Doug Hadders (Almost Naked Animals) will write and showrun.

Radical Sheep is also behind the Disney Junior Canada animated series Stella and Sam, for which it earlier this week launched an introductory DVD and, in partnership with Toronto-based music production company Silent Joe, an album
