Female-skewing cable net Oxygen has announced two new titles in its development pipeline: the dramatic reality series Teen Weddings and fashion series Thrift Wars.
Produced by Cineflix, Teen Weddings profiles teen couples from across the economic spectrum as they prepare for their nuptials.
Executive producers are Lisa Levenson, Simon Lloyd and Joe Houlihan.
Thrift Wars is a competitive fashion series set in New York, executive produced by Matt Sharp for Sharp Entertainment.
The pilots are among several in contention for slots on the network’s 2012 schedule.
“Oxygen is committed to developing distinctive and relatable projects that speak directly to our core viewers; their interests and passions,” said Rod Aissa, SVP, original programming and development, in a statement. “Cori Abraham and her development team have done an outstanding job identifying themes of importance to the young Oxygen viewer and these new titles are the right fit for the brand. They are bold and noisy and keep with Oxygen’s core values – living life on your own terms.”
