Echo Bridge picks up global rights to Epitome’s L.A. Complex

Epitome Pictures has returned to the well at Echo Bridge Entertainment after recruiting the U.S. distributor to shop the international rights to The L.A. Complex.

“We are pleased to continue our relationship with the highly talented Epitome Pictures and appreciate their recognition of our commitment to promote and market programs to ensure their best possible success,” Dan March, president, international at Echo Bridge, said Wednesday in a statement.

Echo Bridge has handled worldwide sales for the Degrassi franchise, including Degrassi: The Next Generation and Degrassi: Junior High, and other Epitome Pictures dramas like Instant Star.

The L.A. Complex, about young Canadians chasing fame in Hollywood, bowed on CTV and MuchMusic and is set to debut on The CW stateside in spring 2012.

The series was produced by Linda Schuyler and Stephen Stohn of Epitome Pictures, and executive-produced, written and directed by Martin Gero (Bored to Death).

Also directing is Stefan Brogren.

The L.A. Complex stars Jonathan Patrick Moore, Joe Dinicol, Andra Fuller, Chelan Simmons, Cassie Steele, Benjamin Charles Watson and Jewel Staite.

The soap was shot in Hollywood and Toronto.
