ACTRA Toronto has released the list of nominees for its upcoming awards gala.

As previously reported, Rick Mercer is to receive ACTRA Toronto’s 2012 Award of Excellence at the union’s annual kudosfest on Feb. 25 in Toronto.

The Awards Gala, to be hosted by Elvira Kurt, will include three juried competitions.

These include the best actor category with nominations for Flashpoint’s Clé Bennett, Shawn Doyle and Peter Outerbridge, both for star-turns in John A: Birth of a Country, Billy Bishop Goes to War’s Eric Peterson, and Christopher Plummer for Barrymore.

ACTRA Toronto’s best actress competition will pit Down the Road Again’s Jayne Eastwood, Jennifer Irwin and Tommie-Amber Pirie for Michael: Tuesdays & Thursdays against King’s Amy Price-Francis and Silent Cargo’s Ellen Wong.

And the best voice competition includes nominations for Stacey Depass for The Adventures of Chuck and Friends, Stella and Sam’s Robbie Fitzroy and Rachel Marcus, Afghanada’s Billy MacLellan and Sidekick’s Miklos Perlus.
