eOne shopping Saving Hope to NBC stateside

Entertainment One (eOne) is shopping Saving Hope, the upcoming CTV drama from Rookie Blue creator Ilana Frank, to NBC for a possible summer 2012 run.

Sources close to the negotiations indicate no deal has been inked.

The 12-part medical drama stars Erica Durance and Michael Shanks.

Entertainment One worked with Frank to pitch the series to U.S. broadcasters after CTV gave a full-season order for the drama.

Saving Hope follows the private and professional trials of doctors and staff in a Toronto hospital.

The drama pilot was written and created by Morwyn Brebner (Rookie Blue) and Malcolm MacRury, with Frank and Lesley Harrison executive producing.

Saving Hope, which is shot in Toronto, is executive produced by Frank and David Wellington, who also directs.
