Thanks to NBC, which is using 89-year-old Betty White to juice its primetime ratings, CTV has picked up the peacock’s hidden camera comedy Betty White’s Off Their Rockers.
White, of renewed TV fame with TV Land’s Hot in Cleveland, which also airs on CTV, is using her comedy chops to host the U.S. version of the European format Benidorm Bastards.
CTV will debut Betty White’s Off Their Rockers on Jan. 16.
The prankster series from Kinetic Content, in association with Hallock Healey Entertainment, features mostly elderly people going into the streets to pull a fast one on young people.
CTV acquired the series from international distributor SevenOne International.
Belgium indie producer Shelter created the original format for the prankster show.
