eOne takes international distribution rights to Saving Hope

Entertainment One (eOne) has grabbed the worldwide TV distribution rights to Saving Hope, the upcoming CTV drama from Rookie Blue creator Ilana Frank (pictured) .

The distributor also has the international home entertainment, VOD and digital rights to the 12-part medical drama to star Erica Durance and Michael Shanks, which also includes an earlier pilot.

Entertainment One will also deficit finance Saving Hope, and work with Frank to pitch the series to U.S. broadcasters. Earlier this week, CTV announced a full-season order for the drama.

The drama pilot for Saving Hope was written and created by Morwyn Brebner (Rookie Blue), pictured at right, and Malcolm MacRury, with Frank and Lesley Harrison executive producing.

The drama’s first season will be executive produced by Frank and David Wellington, who will also direct.
