Kim Cattrall is the latest Hollywood thesp to join the Canadian Film Centre’s Actors Conservatory as a mentor.
“As a longtime supporter of the Canadian film industry, I think it’s so important to nurture and champion our local talent,” Cattrall, who is currently performing opposite Paul Gross in Private Lives on a Toronto stage ahead of a Broadway run, said Wednesday in a statement.
“I’m really looking forward to mentoring the residents of the CFC Actors Conservatory and helping them push their careers further,” she added.
Cattrall, best known as Samantha on HBO’s Sex and the City, also helped voice the Canadian animated series Producing Parker and starred in Bob Clark’s classic 1982 movie Porky’s.
Past CFC Conservatory mentors include Edward Norton, Guillermo del Toro, William Goldman and Colm Feore.
