Swiss distributor Ascot Elite has acquired the rights to the Quebec comedy Starbuck by director Ken Scott for German-speaking Europe.
The deal was done by Entertainment One Films International, which shopped the Patrick Huard-starrer at the Toronto International Film Festival.
Scott’s film, which also stars Julie Le Breton and Antoine Bertrand, portrays a grown man who learns he has fathered 533 children after many trips to the sperm bank years ago.
Ascot plans a 2012 bow for Starbuck in Europe.
